MiSource Accepts InfraVision As Founding Member
InfraVision LLC - which is a Green company - uses Thermography  to detect leaks (of energy, heat, water) and was accepted as a Founding member of Misource ( Michigan Resources).  Misource helps Municipalities find and work with Michigan companies to design, engineer, and implement Green technologies such as Solar power, Geothermal HVAC, and other strategies - like conservation - which can be enhanced by using Infravision's high-tech  Infrared cameras.

It has been said that -  'despite current ads & slogans, the world doesn't change one person at a time.  It changes when networks of relationships form among people who share a common cause and vision of what's possible.  This is good news for those of us intent on creating a positive future."   (author Margaret Wheatley)

Fortunately for Michigan, Angela has her sights set on creating a positive future for the state. MiSource seeks to change the trend of awarding projects to out - of - state entities.  By giving municipal entities improved access to industry knowledge, resources - and her network of relationships in the design and engineering fields - she creates a Win - Win.  The Municipalities benefit by being  better equipped to reach out to our local businesses - and they are enabled to compete for , and win, publicly-funded projects here in Michigan.  This would result in new revenue, job creation, and an economic stimulus.   That is part of Angela's vision that INFRAVISION is proud to support .

Agencies Agree On How to Save Energy
We find all the areas that leaks occur in

The U.S. Department of Energy says that reducing drafts by implementing weatherization techniques can save over 30% on your energy costs.

Air leaks that occur through the small cracks around doors, windows, pipes, and cables (that penetrate the building envelope) are the largest source of heating and cooling loss in a structure.

The Oak Ridge National Laboratory for the DOE showed that an aggressive weatherization program can provide a 33.5 percent decrease in natural-gas consumption for space heating.  What's more, every dollar you shave off of your energy bills with such home improvements can add more than $20 to the resale value of your home, according to a study by the Appraisal Institute.

TREEHUGGER Magazine says that"priorities in each house will be different.  Many houses do not benefit by adding insulation.  In addition, tankless waterheaters and new windows may have a 20-100 year payback - no joke.

In my opinion, the biggest bang for the buck, the low hanging fruit is fixing air leakage (infiltration), duct leakage & improving insulation. "This isn't the sexy stuff, but the important stuff!  And please do NOT buy solar panels!  Fix your house first! Think of solar panels as the sprinkles on the icing of the cake; everything going on below the finishing touches must be in tip-top shape first!

A responsible solar contractor will insist you repair your house first.  Why?  The un-sexy repairs above have a 1 to 12 month payback period and have the added benefit of drastically improving your indoor air quality, comfort, durability, and safety.  Solar panels don't do this - they only create electrons  . . .

SEATTLE-BASED GREENWORKS REALTY says an added bonus is that energy-efficient homes spend 18 percent less time on the market and sell for up to 37 percent more per square foot
